Evidently, summer doesn't belong to me...
Aug. 26th, 2011 12:18 amClasses start up tomorrow (well, today), and I have to say, I am absolutely dreading the start of this term, more than I usually do.
I can't say that I completely wasted this whole summer - went to Louisiana, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jacksonville - but I didn't accomplish much of anything that I actually wanted/planned to accomplish.
Oh well. I guess there's always next year.
In other news, I have my desktop up and running again, which includes the scanner, so I reuploaded the drawings I posted during its downtime. I also have a few older things and a few drawings before I officially start the new fall semester!

In other news, college stuff is still a bitch, still looking for a job, still working on the H/P/H drawing I meant to post last week, and still working on that 5+1 prompt that I kind of sort of filled on the KKBB kink meme.

Which also wouldn't be so bad, except the universe apparently thinks I can afford to be more than a few minutes late, because the subway stops.
Which also also wouldn't be so bad, except it doesn't start up after one or two minutes. No, that train sits there.
For thirty fucking minutes.
Cue train workers trying to figure out WTF happened. (Something about something - or someone - setting off the emergency brake in one of the cars. I think. I'll be honest, at that point, I'm trying to figure out the best way to teleport off the subway and back into my bed.)
So much for getting to class.

In other news, somebody pinned the most horrendous, horrifying fake butterflies to the living room curtains. I'm serious, those things will be haunting my dreams tonight. :|

Rain, rain, go away...

But then it cleared up yesterday! Hooray!
Then it started to rain again. Boo.
Now it's supposed to rain all week. Double boo.
Well, it didn't rain today, but it was horribly humid and too hot (by my standards). But it certainly looked that way, and I'm not holding out for a reprise tomorrow.
I like rain - it's fun to splash around in, yaay - and anything above 65 is, in my opinion, way too hot. But seriously, all this rain is bumming me out. Stupid April. :(
So here's a drawing of Perry holding a puppy in the rain! Because that's totally something Perry would do.

In other news, I've been playing a lot of Pokemon recently. Currently level grinding in Pokemon White, trying to get my team up to speed for the Elite Four, and recently restarted FireRed, after realizing that the team I had throughout the duration of the game really, really, really sucked. And I was wondering why I never faced the Elite Four. Hopefully, this run will turn out better.
Why the eff am I mentioning this? No reason-- just expect some Pokemon related fanart coming soon. Maybe even some KKBB/Pokemon fanart? ;p Who knows.

Holy Hell. An Update?
Feb. 25th, 2011 10:38 pmAnd not just any update - an art update? Say it ain't so!
It is so! I feel like I should say it was something big and grandiose that got me doodling again. Nah, it was just an awesome little movie called Kiss Kiss Bang Bang that gave me the urge to put pen to paper again. Funny how that works.
I got to say, though, it feels weird. After months (and months and months and months...) of not picking up a pencil and paper for anything other than school work or a simple doodle (probably on the margins of said school work), to suddenly going back to sketching things for hours... it's surreal. But comforting. I didn't realize how much I missed it until I actually sat down and did it.
...I'm really, really out of practice though. Months of inactivity have done nothing to what little talent (or "talent") I had before hand.
General silliness and fluff behind the cut, all SFW:
( Let's ignore the fact that nobody looks like they ought to, mmm'kay? )
That's all for now. Let's hope I can keep the momentum up! [fingers crossed]
